近隣には、食事の出来る所が数ヵ所・コインランドリー・銭湯・スーパーマーケット・カラオケ・ドラッグストアーなどがあります。

If you are staying with a Japanese family or going to public bath facilities in Japan, it's helpful to know how to take a Japanese-style bath. Below are basic tips.

1.Take off your clothes in the changing room and put clothes in the locker, basket, or on the shelf. If you are using public facilities, please make sure not to leave any valuables in unlocked areas. Small lockers for valuables are often available.

2.Enter the bathroom with a small towel and your amenities.

3.Before getting in the bathtub, scoop out some water from the bathtub using a bucket and rinse your body, or rinse your body using tap water in front of faucet.

4.Get in the bathtub. It's proper etiquette in public facilities not to put a towel in the bathtub.

5.Get out of the bathtub and wash your body or hair in front of the faucet. It should be done outside of the bathtub. Rinse off soap and shampoo well before you get in the tub again.

6.Rinse your body with tap water in front of faucet. Dry your body with your small towel before you enter the changing room. Please remember not to drain the bathtub water when you are finished unless you are told to do so.

「銭湯」は有料の公衆浴場です。
江戸時代、日本の建物はほとんど木造で火事が多かったため、支配階級の武士の中でも、武家屋敷に住んでいる者にしか家に風呂をつくることが許可されず、「銭湯」が発達したのです。
当時は経営的な理由で、男女別の浴槽を設置するのが難しかったため、男女混浴が一般的でした。
二階には座敷が設けられ、そこで男たちは囲碁や将棋に興じ、社交の場としても利用されていたのです。
なお、「銭湯」の浴槽では、絶対に体を洗ってはいけません。

"Sento" is a paid public bath.
Because the Edo era, the building of Japan are wooden, and there were many fires, the samurai "Sento" of the governing classes is a paid public bath.
"Sento" developed without being allowed only the person who lived in the samurai residence among the samurais of the governing classes to make a bath in a house because Edo era, most of the buildings of Japan were wooden, and there were many fires.
Man and woman mixed bathing was common in those days because it was difficult to install the bathtub according to the man and woman for a management-like reason.
A room was established in the second floor and therefore men had fun of Go and shogi and were used as a place of the society.
In addition, in the bathtub of "Sento", you must never wash a body.
